Alfredo sauce recipe
Pasta with cheese is delicious and quick to make. The Alfredo Sauce is perfect for this, because it will pamper your taste buds, regardless of whether you choose Alfredo Spaghetti or other types of pasta. However, we would also like to point out that the cheese sauce is not exactly low in calories. You can prepare the delicious Alfredo sauce in the following way:
For 10 servings:
- 120 g Butter
- 400 g cooking cream
- 115 g cream cheese
- 225 g parmesan, grated
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian spices
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 TL Pfeffer
Cook any pasta according to the instructions on the packet in a saucepan with salted water. Meanwhile prepare the Alfredo sauce. To do this, heat and cook the butter, cooking cream and cream cheese in a saucepan. Add the spices and mix everything together well. Finally stir in the parmesan and cook the cheese sauce for about 3 to 5 minutes until it thickens.
Serve the sauce with the pasta. You can also serve the sauce with cauliflower.
Alfredo cauliflower sauce as a vegan and lower-calorie variant
Pasta Alfredo can also be prepared with lower calories with a vegan variant that uses normal cauliflower. Surely you already know pizza dough with cauliflower, which is extremely tasty. This is no different with this Alfredo variant. This is how the Alfredo sauce with cauliflower is made:
For 2 servings:
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 340 g cauliflower florets
- 240 ml of water
- 1/2 teaspoon Himalayan salt
Fry the garlic over low heat in a saucepan with the heated olive oil and after a few minutes add the cauliflower and water. As soon as the water comes to a boil, cover and let the cauliflower cook for 10 to 15 minutes. It should be soft at the end. Then put the entire contents in a blender together with the salt and pepper and puree everything into a vegan Alfredo sauce.
Attention! The heat can push the lid away during the pureeing process and burn yourself. So be very careful!

Chicken Alfredo recipe
If you would like to add some meat to the delicious dish, Chicken Alfredo is the right choice. Sauce, pasta and meat could hardly go better together. The Alfredo Chicken is prepared as follows:
For 4 servings:
- 450 g boneless chicken breast fillet
- 2 teaspoons of kosher salt
- 1/2 TL Pfeffer
- Paprika powder
- 950 ml of water
- 225 g ribbon noodles (fettuccine)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 teaspoons of garlic, chopped
- 30 g ungesalzene Butter
- 300 ml of cooking cream
- 45 g parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
If the fillet is very thick, cut it in half to get thinner pieces. Heat the olive oil in a pan, season the meat with salt, pepper and paparika powder and fry for about 6 minutes on each side. Then let it rest for 5 minutes and cut it into strips.
Cook the pasta in salted water according to the package instructions. Then drain them but catch the water. Melt the butter in a pan and then add the garlic. Fry it for about half a minute to a minute. Then add the cooking cream, half a teaspoon of salt and pepper to the pan and bring everything to a boil, after which you reduce the heat and let the Alfredo sauce simmer for 10 to 12 minutes. Stir more often.
Turn off the stove and stir in the parmesan and nutmeg. If the sauce has become too thick for you, you can dilute it with a little cooking water from the pasta or cream. Add the ribbon noodles to the sauce, mix everything together and serve the delicious pasta with the breast fillets.
Alfredo sauce – recipe with shrimp
It’s not just chicken that goes wonderfully with Alfredo sauce. You can also conjure up a breathtaking dish in no time with shrimp that everyone will love. Here is a cheesy recipe for pasta with the white sauce and shrimp:
For 4 servings:
- 280 g tagliatelle (or any other pasta)
- 5 EL Butter
- 200 g cooking cream
- 225 g parmesan, grated
- pepper and salt
- 450 g shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 teaspoon garlic, chopped
- 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
Cook the pasta in salted water as described on the packaging. Melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a pan over medium heat and let the cream simmer for 4-5 minutes. Stir in the cheese and melt it while stirring constantly. Then season with salt and pepper. Heat a tablespoon of butter in a large pan, fry the shrimp for 3-4 minutes and season with salt and pepper. Now add the garlic and cook for another minute.
Drain the pasta and serve with the Alfredo sauce. Spread over the shrimp and finally the fresh parsley.
