Active in summer: these unusual hobbies fill your free time
It doesn't always have to be boring knitting. You definitely want to experience something in your free time and not always live the same monotonous life. So it's time for a hobby, but not just any hobby, it should be as crazy a leisure activity as possible. For some, it can be a little sportier and others like to be out in nature. It depends on what you do with your free time next summer.
In summer everyone likes to cool off in the hot temperatures. All the better if you spend more time in or on the water. However, it is not always just about swimming. In our case, it leads you to the boat or the board.
Kayaking / Canoeing
For example, if you decide to go canoeing or kayaking as a summer hobby. Paddling is suitable for both beginners and advanced. The whole big requirement, however, is that you can swim well.
Of course, you need the right equipment, such as a boat with the appropriate paddles. At the beginning, you can simply borrow the equipment to get a taste of this water sport. If things get more serious, you can buy your own equipment. As a rule, it is advisable to have a large basement or alternatively to rent a storage room. There you have access to your stored items at any time, just like with your own basement.
The advantage of canoeing or kayaking is that the entire upper body is trained. With paddling, you can create a good balance, especially for back pain, and stabilize the corresponding muscles. The fresh air is also good for the brain and the circulation. Everywhere in Germany canoeing on different rivers or river sections is possible. If you are interested, you should make yourself online beforehand.
Similar to canoeing, the most important thing here is that you can swim well. Because here it is even faster that you go for a swim. Special surf schools offer appropriate surf courses at lakes or at sea. You can choose between so-called surfing and windsurfing. In the latter you get the drive from a sail that is attached to the board. In contrast, when surfing, as the name suggests, you are carried by a wave. Especially at the beginning, it is important that you choose waves that are not too big.
Surfing is a very complex sport that demands the whole body. However, you should prepare yourself for surfing with strength training to avoid injuries. In addition to various muscle groups, the sense of balance is trained.
Jogging is a popular sport, but the endurance run is less exciting in the long run. Even if you do cycling as a balancing sport, it can get boring if you don't go far and try new routes.
This hobby has become increasingly popular in recent years. It is a kind of modern scavenger hunt, where you use GPS devices and your brain to solve puzzles to get to a little treasure. You don't need a lot of equipment. In most cases, a GPS-compatible smartphone and a suitable app are sufficient. However, separate GPS devices are significantly more powerful and therefore more accurate.
The geocachers are given various tasks within the apps. In the simplest case, coordinates are given where you can find the treasure. However, sometimes one or more puzzles or tasks are linked to the treasure hunt.
In principle, the whole body is used for geocaching, depending on the task. You also have to strain your brain hard for the puzzles.
If miniature golf is too harmless for you and normal golf is simply too spiky, you should take a closer look at Cross Golf. The game can take place anywhere. The only rule is that nobody is endangered. Apart from the usual courses, cross golf takes place in the forest, in the park or on the water. The start and end point are set yourself. It is played in several teams that compete against each other. You do not need any specific previous knowledge. You can just play golf. All you need is a racket and a ball and of course a good mood.
In the air
Hobbies that take place in the air are particularly unusual. Since people have not yet learned to fly, they are always looking for replacement jobs that have to do with high altitude and free fall.
It is probably one of the more dangerous hobbies, which also requires a lot of overcoming. It is important that you weigh at least 50 and a maximum of 120 kilograms. Other prerequisites are normal physical resilience, health and a perfect musculoskeletal system. First of all, you should first be brave enough to take the plunge.
A jump from a greater distance comes towards you when you parachute jump. For starters, you should try a tandem jump. You jump with a professional from a height of around 3,000 to 4,000 meters. The equipment is provided. However, it is more of an expensive hobby if you do not directly enter a skydiving club. Then there is an apprenticeship.
