MEW is Gene Pearson, who made me a custom-sized box similar to this (for a remote control) out of wenge with a zebrawood top/tab/corners. It's stunning. He was early into box making when I contacted him (I found him on eBay), and his business has exploded since – no wonder, considering the quality of both the build and the woods used.
